Not a real winner

I usually have crazy, random dreams, but this one seems so ordinary. I had a dream that I won 10km's worth of gas from the Rrroll Up the Rim to Win contest at Tim Horton's . Funny thing is that I've never ever actually played the game. And they're not offering any money for gas, either. Not quite sure why it was exactly 10km in the dream, but I was sure happy when I won :)

Smart guy

Quote of the summer:

"Lip liner is just about the most pointless invention I've ever seen," remarks Mike, 28, "I'm not exactly sure what it's for but I think girls use it to draw a line around their lips. What for? I don't draw a line around my nose."

Ha, love it. Eyeliners fall into the same category. Honestly, I think all makeup is pointless, except for the stuff you hide zits with. Otherwise, it's all facepaint to me.

Happy sticky day

(aka the first day of summer which results in stickiness)

It's awfully bright and warm today but I had to spend most of the day driving around without any AC. Plus side was I got to go to a cute, old-fashioned strip mall with a knick-knack store and card shop.

Extremely random thought:
I was watching Martha Stewart Living for no reason other than a temporary lapse in channel surfing and this popped into my mind: 'My kids are going to think I'm so old because I lived through the turn of the century.' Bah, don't even know where that came from!

Hokey pokey

In response to something from a long time ago:

what if the hokey pokey really IS what it's all about?
Well, I found a sticker that was made from this ingenious musing...

Hmm, could be a scary thought!

I scream

You scream, we all scream for ice cream :) I'm enjoying a strawberry milkshake right now that my mom made for me. *mmm* I am so thankful that I am not lactose-intolerant (not being mean to those who are!). I just live off dairy products, like milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt, etc. I would be so devastated if I couldn't have any!

But I guess this article kind of just pops that bubble. Oh well, I choose to disregard what they say; I am going to have dairy as often as I can so I can have strong bones. Plus, after working today (on a Saturday!) I think I should have a break! Yum, back to my strawberries and ice cream.
